Back From the City!

I just returned from NYC a few days ago and it was fantastic! We only spent time in there for a few hours, but I still thought it was worth enjoyable. We took the train from Peekskill to the Grand Central Terminal, then we went to Rockefeller Center and Saint Patrick's Cathedral. After that, we were lucky enough to go to Times Square, because I was quite amazed to see that there was still some confetti falling besides just some on the ground left over from the New Year's Eve Spectacular. We had lunch at Bourbon Street, a restaurant there that made me think of Princess and the Frog, because it was New Orleans-themed! Later on, we headed back to my cousins' to celebrate my sister's 20th birthday and we went home the next day. What an exciting city experience me and my sis had!

Happy New Decade!

Yup, I'm giving my New Year's journal entry this title not only because it's the start of a new year, but it's also the start of a new DECADE!! Wow, the first decade of the new millennium went so quicky, it seemed like just a blur to me!! My sis just turned 20 today, which means she was born right at the tail end of the 80s. I'm currently at my cousin's house and we're going to spend New Year's Day strolling around in New York City!! I feel very excited about it because I haven't been there in quite a while. I must feel very lucky to be spending the first day of the new year AND the new decade hanging out in the Big Apple! Well, toodleloo! :bye:

Merry Christmas!

I didn't really wish for anything specific this Christmas because of how supposedly busy I was with college, but I'm still glad I did very well and I was satisfied not only with my grades, but also with the gifts I got, which were mostly some clothes that I probably needed. I also decided to be more grateful this Christmas by giving my sis a new Pokémon game she wanted and my grandmother a new necklace. Anyway, I did have quite a wonderful Christmas and I hope some of you did too!

Off For a Month!

Yup, my sis and I are finally off for a month so we can celebrate the holidays! I had some ideas for some new artwork on my mind for at least a week or so, but I thought I'd wait until today to get started on them because my sis and I had to attend a meeting for the English courses we took, mostly just to get back the final papers we wrote and receive our overall grades. It turns out we both did very well, and I did a lot better on that paper I wrote last week than I expected! Now I can finally celebrate a joyful Christmas and not have to be concerned about receiving terrible grades and negative criticism on the papers we had to write, especially since I supposedly did better in English during this fall semester in high school than I did in high school.

I FINALLY SAW IT!

Yes, I finally went with my sis to see Princess and the Frog today and I expecetdly enjoyed it as much as she did! I ain't spoiling anything about it, but I'm glad it got positive reviews, probably because of how highly anticipated that movie was over the past few years.
